• Fáilte, I’m Louise, holder of Temple Sláine. I started this space to share my learnings and the energy that has been building up for the past 12 years.

I hope to create a kind and welcoming space for all to come and delve into the mystery and truth of themselves. The offerings will keep expanding, starting small and growing over time.

The photo above is taken at the little woods at the Barytes Mill in Gleniff, and represents the Well of Sláine. Absolutely magical little spot.

  • During a spontaneous mystical experience at the age of 23, my energetic system burst open, releasing a healing energy in my hands and activating my intuition and inner seeing.

My little muggle self didn’t know what to do with it all and set off on an epic quest of self exploration and discovery of the world and otherworld that would last over a decade, culminating in a 3 year long dark night of the soul.

This fertile (though it didn’t always feel that way) dark place provided the soil and compost from which the seeds of Temple Sláine sprouted when the light finally returned.

  • Over the years since 2014 I have trained in a number of modalities - Reiki, Rahanni, Bio Energy Healing, Shamanic Healing, and most recently as a Priestess of the Goddess Cerridwen.

I use parts of what I’ve learned from all of these and from my individual path of animism, druidry, paganism, natural magic, and my general curiosity of folklore and mythology to weave together a unique tapestry of healing and magic with each individual and group I work with.

  • The name Temple Sláine came to me one afternoon in early 2024 as I awoke from a snooze, having set the intention earlier that week to find a name for the healing business I hoped to open.

Interestingly, this name relates to Tobar Sláine, the mythical Well of Healing of Irish mythology. It is said in the story of the Second Battle of Moytura, that the great healer god of the Tuatha dé Danann, Dian Cécht, had created the well to revive the warriors.

Himself, along with his daughter Airmid - goddess of healing and herbs, and his sons Miach and Octruiul, would take the fallen soldiers to the well where they would immerse them in the water. There they would sprinkle healing herbs and chant incantations until the soldiers were revived or brought back to life.

I live close to the site of this mythical spring (now Heapstown Cairn) and have felt a connection to the goddess Airmid, so it’s with great reverence that I hold this name.

  • As of now, Temple Sláine exists as an etheric temple. What on earth is she on about, I hear you say?!

Well my hope and intention is that one day this will be a physical temple space where people can visit, and where I (and others) can offer regular ceremony, ritual, healing, divination, sacred performance, and other offerings to the community.

The temple being etheric means that no matter where I bring the work, whether in person or online - the temple space as a container will be brought to that place and that moment.
